Byron Scott is a 3-time NBA Champion with the Los Angeles Lakers and is known to have been an integral player during the Laker’s “Showtime” era. He is an NBA Head Coach and was awarded NBA Head Coach of the Year and is currently a sports commentator for Spectrum Sportsnet (the official station of the Los Angeles Lakers). As an alumni from Arizona State University, Byron’s Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies was put to good use making him a successful businessman, philanthropist, and best-selling book author of “Slam Dunk Success: Leading From Every Position On Life’s Court”. As a businessman, Byron Scott invested in various business ventures such as Ethel’s Baking Company, FreshPet, Long Beach College Housing Developments, Clade 9, and Comisario Tequila to name a few. Byron Scott’s experience on and off the court is brought to the forefront on his podcast show with guests that consist of his personal celebrity friends and former NBA teammates called “Byron Scott’s Fastbreak” which has gained millions of views. Byron is also a cast member and executive producer of “Americas Real Deal”, an interactive business reality show where entrepreneurs pitch to investors and the TV audience, who can invest in companies via QR codes during the broadcast hosted by Jordin Sparks. The “Byron Scott Challenge for Children” non-profit organization raised more than $15 million in the past with proceeds going to various children’s charities. Byron’s philanthropy involvement with various organizations include Habitat for Humanity (Greater Los Angeles), Kure It Cancer, The KIS Foundation for Sickle Cell Awareness, Feed My Poor, Face Forward LA, and the Community of Friends.
